Rhubarb Rhubarb

The rhubarb beds are revealing themselves again with the first leaves unfolding in a concertina of crinkles. Can’t wait for the first pickings. I didn’t eat enough of this last year.

Great picture. I've been enjoying watching the rhubarb coming up on our allotment too. I've taken some pictures but haven't posted any to my blog because to be honest the ones I've taken look a bit rude, with hooded pink stalks pushing upwards... or is it just my dirty mind?

Hmm, great minds think alike. They do tend to look a bit risque. This was the most modest of the photos that I took...

It looks lovely! But I agree, a bit rude! My boys asked what those 'weiners' were coming out of the ground when the rhubarb came through!

How long are the stalks before you harvest them. I'd say mine are around 12 inches now, is that enough?
